Why is the UK Emmigration Minister Mr Woolas calling for a ban on further migrants coming to Britain?

4. You are right, too little too late. The controls should have been instated years ago. At least your government is 'trying' to do something whereas my government (US) continues to welcome them with open arms. They even want to give drivers licenses to the ones who come to this country illegally.

8. it is a little late when you look around many of the cities of britain ,,,particularly england i suspect but it is time limits were placed on any more coming in ......just because the government has let us down so badly in the past with regards to this issue there is no good reason to continue in the same way limits should be placed on those coming here to marry their cousins .....the cousin should go back to live with their spouse in their country ...these are often the people who do not integrate and come to britain with third world values and traditions *honour killings etc) and only want to marry this cousin to get a british passport and a life on our beautiful benefits

10. Let us be honest!Mr. Woolas is fooling no one with this sudden outburst! He knows as well as the rest of us know it is just to divert the electorates attention away from Gordon Brown's incompetent handling of the economy! This Labour Government have had 10years to put this serious concern of the electorate right! What we all have to remember is!He is only considering the proposal by a Select group of Members of Parliament!He is not going to do anything definite about it! It is the last throes of an incompetent Labour Government who know their time in government is up!Just a futile attempt to get votes!

12. Its just more New Labour Bullsh!t, let's wait and see if they have the balls to see it through. Based on their track record on other difficult issues like Public Sector pay and pensions, I doubt it.
