Mr Britain

Why is parliament just now considering the withdrawal of British troops in america's war ?

In remarks in a newspaper interview, Mr Fox said Britain should focus less on state-building in Afghanistan and more on speeding up the withdrawal of its troops. Mr Fox described Afghanistan as a broken 13th century country. "National security is the focus now. We are not a global policeman," he told The Times.

  1. idk where american not british y shoud i no
  2. Wow, what happened from 100 years ago until now? Britain used to be very imperialistic?
  3. Because the British govt is realizing that the backwards, corrupt, evil society in Afghanistan is utterly incapable of governing themselves. The only way there will be peace in Afghanistan is if someone imposes order upon them - they cannot do it themselves.
  4. You just took two steps back. There is something you don't understand about America. If my neighbor walks over to my property and hits my brother, I am going to go to my neighbors house and lay him out flat on the ground, and he tries to get up, I am going to kick him in the face until he stops trying to get back up before I leave. If you can't control the terrorists on your side of the world that come over here and attack us, then we can.
  5. Its not "Americas war" Were to late now to just turn around and go home it would just make us out to be a pathetic weak nation in-front of the Muslim extremist culture remember when America did its darnedest to kill Iran's chances of becoming a free republic they did it in the interests of the united kingdom. I'm not questioning this war's moral side but surely this war goes far deeper then just "Americas" War it stopped being a war on terror a long time ago its a war for interests now and the United Kingdom has interests similar to the US.
  6. Liam Fox, now that he and the Lib Dems have some power, is playing to the antiwar lobby mostly populated by his own and the Labour Party. He's probably right in his description of that benighted country. It's not just the USA's war - it's Europe's war too. It should also be Pakistan's war; but , despite its ownership of 20th century weapons, it too, in reality, is a theocratic, medieval country. He is right to question whether or not there is a withdrawal strategy (we all should) but he has an agenda that includes the idea we shouldn't have been there in the first place; and in that he is wrong!
  7. Almost all muslim countries are in the broken 13th century. They uphold customs and ideas which make Scholasticism look progressive.
  8. Unfortunately for Britain and America it is not 'their' war. It is about global capitalism trying to impose its self on a nation that doesn't want it. Since all Western economies are controlled by global capitalism, we just have to do as we are told and send troops to advance the cause of the New World Order. Until any nation gets a government that is not too spineless to stand up to capitalism, and after what happened to Greece that is unlikely, the situation will remain the same, despite what individual politicians may say.
  9. And Mr Fox is right. We should not be there. it is a pointless conflict. Let those that profit from Gas and oil produce their own private army to solve their problems. Why should we foot the bill?.....new labours war mongering and blood lust has caused this country enough humiliation. Its time we brought our troops home. As for the people of Afghanistan. If they are happy living in the 13th century then what business is it of ours?
  10. The war was immoral, unnecessary, ill planned and indefensible. It's a sad day when Labour's voters feel they must compromise their principles so not to desert their tribe and a major chapter of Labour's period of government.
