Why are Britain donating 10 million to Gaza?

... Is Gordon Brown trying to score Brownie points or what? I mean seriously, the same Hamas group that support Al Qaeda, and the same citizens who were dancing and cheering on 9/11 along with 7/7..... Nice addition to the recession Mr Prime Minister.

9. We the people are not donating 10 million to Gaza - the Gordon Brine UK.gov is doing it, claiming as ever that they have a mandate to act on behalf of the people (dictatorship) in all matters. Lucky for us then! Living in a blood sucking dictatorship I mean! The next general election is not until 2010 - cannot be soon enough for most of us. However, we're being told by the media that the next election has been penciled in for somtime in 2009. Ha! When have I heard that one before? 10. To gain whatever it is they hope to gain by this action. It was the same way back in 1948 when the British held Palestine. Arabs were allowed to do as they pleased while any Jew who even looked like there was some remote possibility that they might have so much as a stone to throw at anyone was arrested. The British refused to allow Jewish immigrants to land. This was a double way of dealing since by the UN resolution to partition Palestine, England, part of the Security council of the UN voted in favor of the resolution. When war broke out between the Jews there and the Arabs, British Generals were helping the Arabs to fight against Israel. When the first cease fire came, the British government did do 1 thing right, and ordered the Generals to stay out of the fight. Both sides re-armed, Israel got a couple of US fighter aircraft, as well as other needed supplies, and that spelled the beginning of the end for the Arabs. Israel stomped the snot out of them then. The rest is more or less current and on going history. By the way, while not widely known, the problems we currently have with Iran are due to a large degree by the fact that the British caused the upset of a pro-west king who was ruling Iran because he would not grant BP monopoly rights to them over the oil wells.

17. I agree with you and with Mark S. I am SO angry. It's bad enough that we are in a recession and that many people will lose their jobs and homes. It's bad enough that there are homeless people sleeping on the streets while immigrants are given everything for nothing, but giving money to muslim terrorists is the last straw!
18. I'm sick of this, why is Gordy so keen on handing out our money to foreigners? We are at the beginning of the worst recession for 30 years, we are told that we will have 3 million plus unemployed, we are told that the people of England cant have certain medical treatments(cos we allegedly don't have the money to pay for it ) We cant have free prescriptions, we cant have this, we cant have that, no money blah blah, so what does this government do? They hand over billions of £ to foreign causes. WTF? As for aid for Palestine, what have they done with the £80 million donated to them by the EU over the past few years? Why are they living in poverty? Maybe the money has been syphoned off to pay for international terrorism. Oh and why cant their Muslim brothers have a whip round for them?

I know you are .. is it because you know the tide is changing? is it because the whole world beginning to see the Israeli gov for who they really are? is it? this is a new world now. the same people in the world who don't tolerate terror from al-qaeda, will not tolerate terror from Israel either. Israel gov is a bigger terrorist than the cheap al-qaede.
20. Imagine if all the Muslims in the world moved in to the UK. And cival war broke out - then the UN would step in, and say Scotland and Ireland and England will be Muslim land. All others move in to WALES. Then imagine the Muslims want Wales too - would you not fight back? Would you not want the world to help you? This is the position Muslims/Palestinians are in against the Jews of Israel.
