Since the Taliban will always be there when will Britain be free of terrorist threats?

The UK Foreign Secretary warned that Britain would not be secure until it had built security in Afghanistan. Mr. Milliband sad Troops fighting 'for future of UK' that it was essential to prevent Afghanistan again becoming an "incubator for terrorism" and a launch pad for attacks on the UK .

Public Comments

1. We have radical Muslims already living in the UK,let alone Afghanistan. That's where our concerns should be.Tighter immigration s needed,with deportation/jail, when anyone speaks out against our land or people.
2. Probably never. There have been terrorists of one sort or another operating in Britain since at least the 1880s. Terrorist activity may go up or down depending on specific political and economic circumstances but it's unlikely ever to come to a complete end.
3. Prevent any further immigration,encourage repatriation of all ethnic minorities,deport all ethnic minority criminals. No Man,no problem.
4. Very shortsighted and ignorant comment by the Foreign secretary of the UK again. Instead of donning a smart suit and thinking how clever he his he should study some of the history of these people before they carry on fighting these taliban. These Afghans have NEVER NEVER accepted a foreign occupation. You can kill a millions of them but they will never stop coming. Have you ever seen the movie Rambo III the Afghan guide tells Rambo that greatest kings of powerful mighty empires in history have always feared 3 thing A) the tiger, B) the snake C) Revenge of the Afghan. So if David Milliband thinks these people are going to give up think again. We are going to be their forever. We tried in the 19th Century twice and FAILED. The Soviets too learned a long and bitter lesson in that country too. My advice would be too withdraw from that place and smash it to smithereens. Kill off their poppy crop and completly END ALL IMMIGRATION. Then maybe maybe then we might be safer.
5. Not wishing to sound to negative, but I do not think we will ever be free of terrorism, it comes in some many forms, for so many reasons, beat one group of terrorists and another appears. I guess in truth all we can do is try to make it has hard as we can for these bastards, both here and in there own back yard. Our brave young men and women are paying with there lives to reduce the threat posed by these bastards, they should be greatly rewarded and properly supported, but what does this government do, it sends them out there without the proper equipment, under funded and under supported, in addition to this we allow, presumably in the name of democracy and the freedom of Speech, for supporters of these terrorist scum to demonstrate against our forces on there return to there country, can you believe that, I for one would not allow this, British troops returning to Britain faced with masses of screaming hate filled scum telling our troops they are murderers, they should be prosecuted for bloody treason. We have as i see it three choices, Roll over for these bastards, continue to fight them, or continue to fight them whilst seeking to deal with the root causes of terrorism whilst seeking at all times a diplomatic resolve. giving in to them is not for me an option, This is Britain, a christian country and always will be, to those that wish to come and live in peace i say welcome, to those that wont to come and dictate to us how we should live and to what god we should pray i say piss off back from whence you came.
6. We would be if they kicked their R'ses out of this country, like yesterday.
7. they still think sucessive British Governments are the architects of all these problems . Britain is no longer a World power , but they think they are , posturing with the USA in Iraq and Afghanistan , they have brought all these troubles on us by poking their noses into other countries affairs .
