How long does it take to see results from weight lifting?

I started lifting about two months ago doing curls, benching, and some other arm exercises but haven't seen that much increase in the size of my arms and chest. I lift at least four times a week, sometimes more and I've gotten stronger and keep adding more weight but I haven't gotten any bigger. How long does it take to see results?

  1. if u do the right amount, every day you should start seeing results in a week
  2. Make sure you are consuming plenty of protein and getting good nutrition to fuel your body for the work you are doing. Your muscles need that extra protein to grow. Also, don't work the same muscle group 2 days in a row (you probably know that). After a hard workout, the muscles need a good 48 yrs to rest and rebuild. High weight and low reps builds muscle. If you are doing what you feel are all the 'right' things for muscle growth then talk to a personal trainer and see if you can get some insight on why you aren't seeing the results you desire. Depending on your shape/fitness when you began, it may take quite a while to see significant results.
